My M92 was pretty challenging: the front sling loop is really small and tucked into a crease in the FSB. Ultimately, I ended up getting some brass washers and fabricating my own. A little jangly, but not bad. I prefer the 'traditional' canvas sling for my Yugo, so...

But if you want something a little more functional/tacticool then the "Uber Loop" looks like a good work around. It is designed for 1 1/2" 'newer' style sling material.

The only thing I see that may be problematic is that the gun's sling loop has squared edges, and while the UL has a tough coating, it still seems like it would suffer from abrasion over time.
