I really don't want to pay for an rmr. I have a slide cut for an rmr and am wondering what ar some alternatives. I know of the holosun models, but is there anything else that is somewhat quality? Please educate me!

But what goes on my bedside gun? This: https://www.primaryarms.com/holosun-hs5 ... ss-reticleThat big circle in the reticle is AMAZING. You don't even see it when you are aligned properly, but when you first bring the gun up and are not aligned properly (if you're like me, lol), that circle makes it instantly obvious which way you need to move the gun to get it right, and my hands adjust immediately. I was totally amazed by it. Love it. Highly recommend it.

I have Holosun 507c and k models, both of which I really like. Swampfox makes some good red dots too from what I hear. https://www.swampfoxoptics.com/

I agree with Steve, the Holosun 507c X2 with ACSS Vulcan reticle is the way to go.

If there was a 508 with an ACSS reticle, that would be my vote. Since that doesn't exist yet, the abovementioned 507 ACSS is, IMO, the clear winner behind the RMR variants. Sage Dynamics testing has shown that Holosun is clearly giving Trijicon a run for their money.

Inside 25 yards the circle is well under torso size. Fast acquisition and great for quick shots that don’t need to be bullseye accurate.

I went with a Docter red dot. I like it because of the cover and no buttons.

Vortex is good. Any veterans out there? GovX, Expertvoice, Leopold, and many others have discounts up to 50%.
