Got a good opportunity to buy an SPP for what looks like a good value. Wanted to get opinions though. Comes with 3 mags I think, pretty clean and not hammered. I can probably get it for close to $1k. Thoughts on the platform? Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk

Roughly going rate for back in the day, so a good deal if you want one. I had a green one at some point. It’s biggest downfall was it was a PCC before PCCs were cool and braces were on everything. I would spring for a Tp9 or any other thing B&T for user-ability but for just cool/uncommon factor DO IT.

No personal experience but seem like a bit of an oddity. At $1k I can’t imagine you’d ever regret the purchase.

Here’s a review with some pros & cons. I think Steyr sold the design in the early 2000’s. https://www.glocktalk.com/threads/steyr ... w.1220324/

I've had several over the years great guns not sure if you can still find the rail for the top to mount red dots but they were available. The first time you take one apart it's a pain in the ass, getting it back together just as taking it apart a pain in the ass. Once you get the bolt mounted correctly and the top cover lined up it gets easy. Couple times and you will be a pro. They take the temp mags and most parts are interchangeable if I remember correctly. Hope that helps a little. 1k is what I used to pay for them 10 plus years ago.

If you don't buy it, let me know where it is so I can! Good price on an uncommon piece.

Seems like a pretty good deal.
Personally I'd want to figure out a brace for it, or SBR it and add a folding stock and maybe fore grip. Throw a suppressor and red dot on that thing, and it'd be a sweet little PCC that's a bit different than most everyone else.
