I know people probably aren't fond of too many pics of their Safe's, but any would be appreciated. Seeing how other people make use of space or organize their pistols, mags, optics etc are always helpful to get ideas.

They way some of you talk, this is what I imagine your firearm storage organization be like...

Me too! Can you explain or show pics Juk? it's a joke, guys. OP is the Keystone Cowboy Search pistol rack for safes. Lots of clever racks for the top shelves https://duckduckgo.com/?q=pistol+racks+ ... &ia=images

Last time I owned enough handguns for the need to store them In such a way I got a piece of half inch plywood and 4 inch wood dowels. Wrapped the plywood with a thick green piece of cloth and drilled holes to pound the dowles into. Then rested it on the back of the top shelf of my safe. Could comfortably and easily get 6-8 pistols in there no problem and total cost was maybe $15 iirc. The peg board plastidip idea is solid too.

How are the rifle rods at freeing up space? The security council (wife) said no to a second safe, and would like to get 5 more rifles in (3 out of 5 with optics) area of the picture (left side of safe) +1 for gun socks and would like to keep most of them on. Attachment: PXL_20220325_024218617.jpg [

Attachment: PXL_20220325_024218617.jpg [ I'll try and snap a pic tonight or tomorrow morning. It took a 64 gun safe that was completely packed, already at capacity, to having room for a couple more. Really impressed. Also easier to reach guns in back. Less to move out of way, and less banging on each other.

I am down to about 9 long guns I want to own and a reorg will really help. Thinking about black rods with orange labels. Do you keep gun socks on also?

Attachment: PXL_20220325_024218617.jpg [ I use rifle rods and like them. My safe isn't full, but I can easily exceed maximum stated capacity with scoped rifles. Only thing you have to be careful with is mixing long rifles and short rifles - I solved that by making a small shelf using ammo cans and a piece of carpet. I didn't buy enough with my safe, so I made a bunch by slicing a wooden dowel, then drilling to fit brass welding rods through them. Little glue and velcro and I make them for a $1 piece.
