I know I've seen this mentioned before but my search terms came up empty. Are there any ranges/clubs that hold m1 events, and what's required to attend? I seam to remember 200 rnds were required.

Marysville Rifle Club has a CMP program

https://marysvillerifleclub.com/shooting-sports/cmp/

not sure if that's competitive enough for you.

Numerous clubs throughout the state host Garand matches (and matches that aren't Garand specific, but where you can shoot one). The 2022 calendar will eventually be posted (link below), or look for schedules on each specific range/club web site.

Do they still run this? I looked at the calendar and didn't see anything scheduled for months.
I wonder if they let you run an sr-25 at these.

Hmmm. I looked over the calendar through 2023 and didn't see the event listed, either. However, whoever makes the calendar does so in a format which truncates some of the information, so it may still be listed.

I suspect Covid has fracked up many of the programs and staffing.

CMP still shows them as an affiliate.

I did the same thing and unless they call it something other than cmp on the calendar I didn't see any events. At the bottom of the MRC cmp page was a name and email CMP/DCM discipline chair: Curt / joeflaps@msn.com. So I sent him a message.

The next closest events I see listed on the cmp site is for the Wildlife Committee of Washington in Bothell is doing five events.

So Marysville Rifle Club updated there calander to now show the cmp garand matchs and the service rifle match which is for bolt actions only. So if you're looking for something other than football to do this sunday its the service rifle shoot. I'm thinking of taking the mosin since it qualifies.

If you look through the MRC calander every service rifle/tommy atkins event is labeled as a practice so not sure whats up with that. But when I was up at the range yesterday for the public shoot, I asked the VP if the cmp/service rifle events were for members only. He said no it was open to everyone who showed up in time to set up and paid the entry.

Kenmore has some different CMP matches at 100 and 200. The guy who organizes them stopped me to talk about it the last time I had my M1 out. It would be worth reviewing their calendar.

Wow - in some places, that comment would get you shot, pissed on, rolled in flour, and deep fried.

Get some professional help.

Try Corpsman. He can raise the dead.
