Hey folks,
I read that transferring or basically my kids inheriting magazines would be “illegal” after the ban goes through… so if I just gifted them to the kids a few minutes ago on a sheet of paper…. even though they are still quite young, all should be good I would think? I’ve never seen a law against kids “owning” magazines, but figured Id ask if anyone knew better than I.
If so then they will be set for the next 80 to 90 years :) folks will come to their senses by then I think…..

My reading of the law is this:
Your children can legally receive the magazines and possess the magazines since the law does not make that criminal.
You would be committing a gross misdemeanor by providing the magazines to them. If you willed the magazines to your kids your executor would be committing a crime by transferring the magazines to them from the estate
If you could somehow manage to transfer the magazines in the last month of your life I guess a dying person is pretty much judgment proof.
If you transfer them earlier than that you're exposed to some legal risk, but there is a two year statute of limitations.
Do with that information what you like.

How is anyone going to know who owns what mags and when they got them? If you've got someone in the family that is so petty they'd snitch on you or your kids for an "Illegal transfer" of some magazines you've got bigger problems on your hands.
This is not a question a free man asks.
