No issues for you. And you can still (fatuously) gloat, but the camels nose has been stuffed further into the tent; UPS just issued a few regs which further refine? restrict? regulate how firearms and components must be shipped and bans the shipment of firearms by any other than a licensed dealer or manufacturer. "According to the 2022 UPS Tariff/Terms & Conditions of Service, which went into effect Monday, only licensed dealers, importers, manufacturers and collectors may ship firearms or firearm products or parts via UPS." including: "Before making any Firearm Products Shipment under this Agreement, Shipper must submit to UPS, by email to customercompliance@ups.com complete, current and accurate licensing documentation of Shipper’s federal firearms license, as well as satisfactory completion of, and compliance with, any other applicable licensing requirements, including any applicable state requirements. Shipper may not tender Firearm Products Shipments to UPS unless and until UPS has confirmed receipt in writing of Shipper’s licensing documentation." https://www.ammoland.com/2022/09/ups-re ... L_CAMPAIGN) There are regulations now that all firearms and certain components must be serialized: "Any item that meets the definition of a firearm (including firearm mufflers or silencers) or a “frame” or “receiver” under federal law (including any partially complete, disassembled, or nonfunctional frame or receiver as defined by 27 CFR § 478.12) must be identified and bear a serial number in satisfaction of the requirements for identifying such items under federal law, including 27 CFR § 478.92 and/or 27 CFR § 479.102, regardless of whether any such items are otherwise exempt from or not subject to identification requirements under applicable law. This prohibition applies even before the effective date of 27 CFR § 478.12." Question: Will the boys and girls in the brown shirts and shorts require that they inspect each package's contents for serialization compliance?

This is a huge deal. Basically, the stranglehold on gun owners is continuing.
It's Operation Chokepoint, but with shipping rather than banking.

I don’t really like the “It’s not a big deal until it’s a big deal” approach

How is this going to work now when you have a gun that needs to be sent back to the manufacturer for warranty work? Or you want to send a gun to a gunsmith?
This is a HUGE issue for the average gun owner.

This is a HUGE issue for the average gun owner. $15-45 per transfer.

This is a HUGE issue for the average gun owner. I agree and was poo-poo'd out of the gate. I've learned a lot from this thread.

This is a HUGE issue for the average gun owner. Manufacturer can send you a label. A smith with a proper UPS account can do the same.

This is a HUGE issue for the average gun owner. Manufacturer can send you a label. A smith with a proper UPS account can do the same. Yes, and the label says "from me" and "to FFL." But it's still me, a non-FFL, shipping the gun.

It’s only because you’re an FFL that you don’t see any problems with this, and other things in this thread.

I sure hope that UPS sees it the same way you do . . . because factually, I'm the one shipping it. This will also impact everyone who sells a gun and ships it to a buyer; the seller will now need to pay an FFL to ship it. Absolute fucking idiocy. I have no idea what the perceived logic is behind these new policies.
