Whats the BEST Scout Rifle.....?

May I ask if bolt action is chosen over lever, because the ergonomics, or stronger/tight/secure locking design, or both?
I am asking, because BLR is not a traditional lever rifle: BLR's bolt featured a rack-and-pinion system and multi-lug rotating bolt. And it's really hard to beat the advantage of packable Takedown version.  _________________ FPC member GOA member Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges. |

I'll toss out the cz527 class of rifles which could be had in a variety of cartridges including 7.62x39, 223, and 6.5 gendel.

I just picked up a Ruger gunsite scout. who is saying proprietary mags? I got AICS short action p-mags and they work great. Seems its pretty hard to find the PERFECT Scout rifle. Some fratures I like on some, and some kn others. Naturally.
Not sure how well its known, but I'm quite the Tikka/Sako fanboy. While not a perfect fit of Cooper's requirements, this one is close.
