Maybe karma has spoken. Not that I’d ever buy from them… but an FYI for anyone looking.

The new store in Bellingham had the same problem. Didn't renew with state is what I was told. Apparently a manager knew, and walked out without renewing, so it lapsed. They shoukd have theirs back by now.

Aren't they known for not releasing per state law after 10 business days if LEO does not complete the check on time?

I don't know if losing ones approval and forcing one to fill out a second 4473 because the first expired is standard practice, but that was my first (and last) experience with them... For the record, I've never had any issues like that at any other FFL, ever.

IIRC we have a list of which FFLs are compliant with state law and release after 10 business days and which ones are not. I forget where that topic/post/thread is.

Alpine wrote: Aren't they known for not releasing per state law after 10 business days if LEO does not complete the check on time? Yup, and I lived that experience with them. Counter person lied to my face on 2 fronts when I went there to p/u my firearm 1) He said it was "federal Brady Law" that he couldn't release to me until check comes back.. even after the 10 days. 2) said my check hadn't come back, even though it did in fact come back but somehow Sportsmans hadn't put it in their system yet. I knew ahead of time that I had a proceed, because i called and talked to the agency who did my check. They told me it was sent Proceed to sportsmans 2 days prior to me going into p/u firearm. So I knew his story was weak.
