At this point… if you are bored. It’s your fault.
So many things to do. So many to master none. lol
What kind of shooting? Range shooting? Indoor/outdoor at a piece of paper?
Rifle, shotgun and/or pistol?
Everyone comes from somewhere. It might be new or even experienced shooter jumping to new discipline. Is a new shooter. If you don’t believe me. As a rifle shooter or even handgun. Check out the folks shooting shotguns. Over and unders waiving at everyone. lol
Jumping into a new discipline will come with a cost. New toy and all the accessories needed. More ammo.
Start slow with what you have (if you have stuff). Try out the easy stuff. Indoor action shooting near you. Look at indoor ranges and if they hold a speed or steel challenge.
Cowboy can be fun and immersive as they shoot all 3, granted cowboy stuff. And even clothes of that era. New persona?
So, lots out there.

Snozz-
You started out saying, “ I've gotten a bit bored with some of the shooting I've been doing, so I've started to look for other options”
But then you posted, “ I left out a couple that appear to be local to our area. I was looking mainly for nationwide events.”
It first seemed like this was for you, but now it seems like you’re writing an article, or something, otherwise, why leave out local events?

For what it matters, optics are generally allowed for Bullseye pistol. Exception would be in the "metallic sight" division (go figure).

Thanks for the reply, though I still don’t understand why you want to leave out local events, though, you did say kind of both, so maybe it is for an article.
