I've decided to sell one of our (Bersa) Firestorm 22s so I can afford to add Crimson Trace grips to our other (Bersa) Firestorm 22, and buy a custom Kydex holster for it.

We'll be keeping our all-black one and selling this Duo-tone (satin nickel slide with black everything else):
Image

Note that since it is a Firestorm, it comes with the rubber separate-finger grips (rather than the cheap, hard, flat plastic grips) and the rounded trigger guard. We've had it since last May, run about 100 rounds through it, and find it to be reliable and very accurate (it's still in like new condition, of course).

Haven't decided price or where to advertise it yet - your thoughts?

BTW, ladies: bersa (http://www.bersa.com/grips/rubber-wrap-around-grips-pink.html) sells pink rubber grips for it for $35 . . . and they're currently In Stock!
:wavey:

Where to advertise it ... that one's easy, isn't it?!

I'm not interested in shipping to a FFL, so I'm considering Armslist or something called WAGuns . . . .

I figure I'd have to avoid all appearances of gouging here, but not on Armslist! icon_eek

The Mrs. purchased a BNIB Bersa Thunder .380 CC with nice rubber grips, two mags, and all the paperwork for $238 OTD In February .

Great little CC.

I have the Two tone .380 Thunder fullsize (if there is such a thing in .380 lol) that I purchased in like new condition and paid $224 OTD last year.

Gouge away. If it sells it sells. If not endless price drops will be in your future. Only your reputation is at stake. Not much to lose there... :ROFLMAO:

I'd figure out how much it would cost to buy one new, then take off a few bucks from that, and list it here on WaGuns. thumbsup

(Bersa) Firestorm 22s are no longer available new - I think we may have two of the last produced. Since they were an upgrade to the Bersa Thunder 22s, they should go for a bit more than those, I'd think.

Here's an active gunbroker auction for a NEW Thunder 22 (9 bids = $375 and reserve not met):
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=333895813
It's matte black and shows the hard, flat, plastic grips Thunders come with (I think the duotones were ~$10 more than the matte black).

Since we're in the Discussion section now, and I've never sold a gun before, I'm open to how the rest of you think these things through (I won't take any prices suggested as offers).

Nice gun, but I'm biased. That is exactly the same as mine, but I'm not sellin'. The grip on the FS22 is way better than the BT22. The only other difference is slight change in the trigger guard, but otherwise, it's identical.

A little research tells me these sold new for around $230-$260. That to me says resell would be somewhere between $200-$230. But that's just what I would think. Unless there is some under ground cult following that I'm unaware of..

The title should have been...
"Pre sale advertisement to generate interest without actually posting it because if someone offer's me stupid money, then i'm not a gouger if I ask more than I paid"

:peep:

. . . and . . . it's working . . .

:ROFLMAO:

. . . except that I'm not asking for any particular price (yet). Of course I want to get as much as I can for it (that's capitalism), but I have no way of telling what it's actually worth. That will eventually be settled by negotiation - I'm just trying to prepare for the negotiation at this point.

During "normal" economic times, there's a fairly predictable depreciation-leveling-appreciation curve for material assets, but these are far from normal economic times.
