There's just not many rifles that can match the sex appeal of the contoured walnut stock and parkerized steel of the m1a. Nice rifle Chris!

I just planned a boating trip for next weekend. Should be picking up my new CZ scorpion any day now. Have to take it on the water right away though. Its tradition to offer it up to Poseidon with in the first week. If he offers it back it's worth keepin, but, if it stays at the bottom, I'll just let the ATF know it didnt make the cut if they ever ask about it.

Shit, do you think that would count as a transfer under i594?

Spent some time with the Adventure Protection crew hosting a public shoot for the ladies . . . plus met pistolpeter1911! He's much bigger and scarier in person than you'd expect from his avatar.

Looks nice!

What kind of suppressor is that? Omega?

How do you like the brace?

Thanks I’m loving it, yeah it’s an omega 300 went in on the silencerco deal so I’m getting an octane 9 for free. The brace is decent looking forward to my form 1 being approved on this to make it an sbr though. I’ve got mixed feelings on braces in general but this one is pretty good for how they are.

Cool. I have the Omega too (I didn't know it's called the Omega 300 now!), and I'm pretty happy with it. I use it mostly for .223, but it gets some .308 and 300BLK use too. It works well and it's light.

I have a bunch of SBRs and they're cool, but the new braces on the market (like yours) are so damn good that I don't think I'll be doing any more SBRs for guns that can take braces like that.

Yeah they have a few different omegas, the omega 300 is the 30 cal one. I’m very pleased with it it’s the first suppressor I’ve ever shot in my life even though I have a couple of others in jail but they won’t let me visit them.

Have you tried shooting with these braces? They’re not quite as good as they look. I have 3 form 1s (ps90, 10.5 556, 8” 300 blackout) pending right now and will probably have some more in the future. Nothing really beats a stock. Just got into the nfa game this year :P next year is going to be awesome for my approvals

Yeah, when I bought mine (which is the .30 cal version, just like yours) it was just the "Omega." They must have renamed it to the "Omega 300" when they added the other models. I also have an Omega 9K.

Yeah, I have some braces in a few different flavors: The original SB-15, the later SBX, and now the Tailhook Mod 2. They're not as good as stocks, true, but for me they're still pretty good and they're sure a lot cheaper and require a whole lot less paperwork.

I'm not knocking SBRs, they're certainly the best technical solution. It's good to have choices!

How do you like the 9k? I was originally going to buy that but then the deal came out so I decided on getting another 30 cal can plus the octane 9.

Which brace is your favorite? Have you tried the sba3? I just started using silencershop for the sbr applications. Takes 30 seconds and I can do it on my phone. They already have my fingerprints and photos and trust on file just have to pay $30 for the convenience which is worth it for me.
