Had the scope off while the rifle was with the smith, he took the barrel offand the rail. My scope was still pretty much of zero when i did a quick sight in at 150yds, 60 clicks on the turret and I was hitting steel. Ill have to do it for real next time though.
At 550 yards, this is between 3 people shooting my rifle. One person missed only once.

Vortex Razor gen 2 4.5-27 My buddies son (12yo) hit steel on his first shot with some old LC match. Needless to say his chest was out the rest of the day lol.

I figured out how to get the hurky muzzle device off this thing: https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-7-5 ... or-ch.htmlOrdered a YHM extended device to replace it and just clear the hand guard. Also ordered a Halosun optic.

Found out that the 22lr Ruger precision rimfire is extremely accurate. Even suppressed. Also found out that Aguila 22lr ammo can hold a pretty tight group.
Should have taken some pictures but was having too much fun shooting!

If you're testing various loads, the rifle probably isn't really "zeroed" at all.
Nice shooting, Ron! Look at that 0.43 MOA . . . yee-ha!!

Nice shooting, Ron! Look at that 0.43 MOA . . . yee-ha!! Must be somewhat zeroed to get on paper. With a 25 or 50 yard zero the impact would be slightly high as in the picture. I was trying to visualize .556 trajectory theory, and his zero distance helps me with that.

The zero changes every time I try a different weight bullet, different primer, different powder or powder weight. The point of aim means nothing until I find the recipe that groups well enough to load bulk ammo with. Then I can adjust the zero. The only thing that I'm concerned with at the moment are the size of the groups, not where the groups impact. That will come later. Thanks Steve! Now if I could just work up a load to get my 224 Valkyrie grouping like that!
