Let's see. Today I:

1) Helped with "Ladies Day at the Range" at Cascade, with Adventure Protection.
2) Went to visit Nitro_Guns, and bought a cool Ruger Single Six.
3) Endured endless texts from usrifle. "OMG this KS-12 is so kewl." "OMG I luv it." "I have a shotgun boner right now."

I mean, seriously?! icon_eek

Got the ball rolling on my AK Pistol build. Got a $150 price break from a friend by helping him acquire some rare Russian gear.

Some rimfire shooting in the backyard. Learned that my Kit Gun needs some gunsmith love, extraction issues.

Valuable teaching (incl. self-teaching) tool, because many people don't believe a thing unless "the computer" shows them the data.
MantisX don't lie. It doesn't measure everything important (like POI vs POA), but imo makes up for it because it works (for most guns, but not all) in dry fire. Plus, sw driven, so updates continue to add value.
Recommended.

I figured out how to get the hurky muzzle device off this thing: https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-7-5 ... or-ch.html

Ordered a YHM extended device to replace it and just clear the hand guard.

Also ordered a Halosun optic.

Replaced that giant muzzle device with a sleek good looking YHM unit this afternoon: https://yhm.net/low-profile-flash-hider-2231.html

Was able to replace after reviewers at PSA said not possible so I left this comment:

Quote:
Yes. You can (replace the huge thing). I thought I would love the thing. But it turns out I really don't like the look of that fatty muzzle device. So I got a Low Profile muzzle device - anything low profile with gas holes that extend beyond the front retention plate will work with the MOE handguard. Or you could convert if you want, but not necessary. Five minute swap, just remove the MOE guard, pull back the front plate (has a hole for the pin on the fatty flash hider) properly tool clamp the upper, wrench off, wrench on, reassemble and make sure guard is tight. GTG!

May have struck a deal ....

Browning High Power with Tangent sight for trade for a 2000 Suburban brake job.

Built late 70's with a slotted grip.

And she's perfect.

I picked up my T/C Encore pistol up off of lay away. It has eight barrels, four blue/four stainless, all fifteen inch, two with scopes.
17HMR, 204 Ruger, 7mm08, 270 Win, 30/06, 45/70 and 338Fed mag and 375JDJ.

Three of them are going to leave home and get replaced with something I will use.
The 45/70, 338 and the 375 JDJ are leaving home here shortly.
I'll post a picture later when I go up in the gun room later tonight.

I have a 14” .375JDJ for my T/C.

Let’s just say that little foregrip is entirely cosmetic. There’s no way you’re hanging in to it. It’s a real hoot to light off. It’s even more fun to try and pass it to one of your buddies.
