Changed the base plates on a stack of Sig P365 mags. Fiddly little things. They come with the stock P365 XL base plate installed.

10 Mags minimum per Mag fed weapon. That's a good rule of thumb.

My thought was to use my P365 in my next pistol class. P365 mags are such a pain in the ass to load, I figured I'd pre load during breaks, since thumbing in rounds is not much fun. Maybe they'll loosen up over time.

For a class though, 10+ is definitely worth it. I took 8 to Front Site, and while adequate, I will take more next time. Probably in the 12-15 range. The last pistol training I did, I had 3. It sucked.

Not today but Friday I paid for and will have delivered on Tuesday a huge fucking safe made by liberty. Dam thing is 72 inches tall and 42 inches wide. With a custom number. I am so excited.

Despite getting my van stuck I had a good time taking my friend shooting
He had a felony conviction but got his rights restored a few months ago. Hadn’t shot a gun in 20 years
He’s still a bit nervous about it, keeps a laminated copy of the court order in his wallet. I guess 20 years of avoiding guns will do that

I finally swallowed my fears and stained the usgi birch stock for the garand. While it looks dark in the pics the color actually turned out pretty good. I've still got to match the hand guards, but by next sunday it should be ready for oil. Only took a year to get to this point....

It does look dark . . . but in a perfect kind of way.
