Made a receiver block for the MI quadrail that`s finally about to arrive. Snow in Chicago delayed it for a few days.

Closed cell foam and a drinking straw. Allows me to keep my cleaning rod while blocking the worst dirt, dust etc

I ordered a blemished 1-6X Primary Arms scope from Primary Arms, as well as their Primary Arms Deluxe Extended AR15 Scope Mount. The package from Primary Arms arrived today and I was excited to get it put on my rifle thinking I might be able to take some time off work tomorrow and take it to the range, only to open the box and find out that the scope mount is missing.

Sent Primary Arms an e-mail. I'm sure they'll take care of it, just always seems to be my luck.

Took my son and daughter shooting. My son got to shoot his new pistol for the first time. Took my daughter's ar15 also only to be told they don't allow long guns on the range any more because someone couldn't play by the rules and snuck some non-frangible ammo onto the range.

Also, this followed my son home. So, guess what I'll be walking him through tomorrow.

Signed up for a training class at a local venue focusing on handgun fundamentals. Proper grip, stance, and also covering use of different sight picture requirements on targets of varying size and distance. Also a focus on follow-through and proper recovery for follow-up shots. Should be a good day on March 10th. I'll be taking my moon clipped Smith PC 627 revolver.

Promag, hence the concern about it working.

Did a couple of things today. Well yesterday and today. Added another member to my glock family. A 19X and despite what all the nay sayers say on the internet, I frikin love the way this pistol feels in my hand. Not sure if it is the overall pistol, the gen 5 frame or what, but it fits my hand perfectly. I also became a 5 year member of the NRA inlight of all the chaos the Left is spewing.

Yesterday, bought the wife a Life Membership to the NRA.

Today, bought a BCM gunfighter Mod 3 grip & trigger guard in foliage and spare firing pins, spare gas rings, spare firing pin retaining pins.

"Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm -- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves." – T.S. Eliot

"The right of self defence is the first law of nature: in most governments it has been the study of rulers to confine this right within the narrowest limits possible. Wherever standing armies are kept up, and the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any colour or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction." - St. George Tucker

A careful definition of words would destroy half the agenda of the political left and scrutinizing evidence would destroy the other half. - Thomas Sowell

"To ban guns because criminals use them is to tell the innocent and law-abiding that their rights and liberties depend not on their own conduct, but on the conduct of the guilty and the lawless, and that the law will permit them to have only such rights and liberties as the lawless will allow...

For society does not control crime, ever, by forcing the law-abiding to accommodate themselves to the expected behavior of criminals. Society controls crime by forcing the criminals to accommodate themselves to the expected behavior of the law-abiding." - Jeff Snyder

Personal weapons are what raised mankind out of the mud, and the rifle is the queen of personal weapons. The possession of a good rifle, as well as the skill to use it well, truly makes a man the monarch of all he surveys. It realizes the ancient dream of the Jovian thunderbolt, and as such it is the embodiment of personal power. For this reason it exercises a curious influence over the minds of most men, and in its best examples it constitutes an object of affection unmatched by any other inanimate object.

Build up a spare 6.8SPC BCG from 5.56 odds and ends with a bare 6.8 bolt.
