Don't pay $250 for it, but on sale for $199 or less it's a great little gun.

Until Taurus does something with their triggers I'm out. They make a Hi-Point seem like a SIG P210 in comparison.

Received a beautifully crafted threaded barrel from Remsport for $75 (Labor Day sale) to fit my Shield 9mm. Fit the new barrel to my kydex holster with a sanding cylinder on a Dremel. Everything is good. Now for a suppressor session to test it out. I notice that the chamber is very tight. Sig V-crowns don't pass the plunk test (too tight), but everything else I tried plunked just dandy.

Took 3 co-workers from Taiwan to the local indoor range yesterday. They had a blast. We shot my Buckmark with red dot, Smith 627, Walther PPQ, and a M&P 9mm with suppressor. The only shooting they have ever done was for compulsory military service and none of them had ever shot handguns before and definitely had never seen or shot with a suppressor. Good time was had by all.

Woods shoot day!

Tested my AC-Unity AK 60rnd quad mag. Also first shoot for my Arsenal AK. Fighter AK brake, Magpul Zhukov stock + AK grip, K-VAR optic mount, Ultradot 30mm red dot.

My thoughts: Decent range toy but definitely NOT betting my life on it. It is a real thumb buster to load (I usually load 30rnd mags one handed, this one is a two hander braced against my thigh) and I think the follower binds up inside and there is some rattle (lack of tension). I loaded it and unloaded a couple times which seemed to help, but my thumb is hamburger.

You might notice the AR500 target broke during the test. My guess is I hit the end of the bolt holding the shackle on. The 7.62x39 sheared off all the threads and it was lying a few feet away.

10 year old (also my videographer) fires a .44 for the first time. Granted it's a seriously heavy S&W 629 firing .44 Special cowboy loads, but still...not bad :)

We also shot some K-38 and the .22LR Kit Gun. And my SKS, sighted in my hunting rifle, finished with my 10/22. I forgot what a total POS the 25rnd Champion mag is, but the loader is actually really nice.

It might need some breaking in, but yeah, after I got to about to round #20 loading it up, I was thinking, "This is not a well made magazine." There was WAY too much resistance and there were rounds flopping around inside.

I have had Glock mags do the same thing, with rounds rattling around and impossible to load to capacity. Usually clears up after a disassembly and reassembly. I think there are about 5 tabs on the base of the quad mag, I don't know how in the world I would engage all of those at the same time to take off the baseplate.
