Finished this up. Well, save for the optic, the jury is still out on what I want to put on it.
I'll be doing a review of the hand guard after I've used it for a month or so.

Found out (earlier this week actually) - My Altamont Blackhawk grips are made to order and won't ship for a couple weeks. I'm not so cranky about that, and they were super pleasant on the interweb email thingie.

Finished an SPR project i've had kicking around for a while by installing a green mountain 18" 1:8 wylde barrel. It only needs a thread protector or other muzzle device and some 20 rounders before i upgrade the glass and mount. All FDE.

Went and saw Brad at his shop today for the first time. Aaaand my wallet is a lot lighter. Snagged a couple of the Anderson lowers and some ammo. Sure wish he was closer to me, one hell of a guy to deal with.

Thanks, I can't take credit for the idea, there's a ton of how to's on the matter. I started out using black leather shoe laces, was about half an inch from being done, pulled too tight and broke one end. Bored as I was this morning, figured I'd gut some black 550 cord and try again. This was the outcome
