Took my 300BO to work today to try out some S&B subsonic.
With my recce 7 it's a fair bit quieter than a nail gun.

Winchester '94 leather butt pad finally arrived. PERFECT FIT!
Nothing fancy, essentially I bought it to hold the trimmed-down butt recoil pad. Those Win 94's can get sharp in the shoulder after about 10 shots with the 38-55 round!
You can see the trimmed recoil pad nested when you turn the rifle over, near the end of the stock (obviously!) Adds just a bit of cheek elevation too.
I did this same thing with my .45-70 and it works really good! Just say no to .22 when you age!

Careful! If it's your pup, they recommend pups not climbing stairs until they're at least 14 weeks or older. Hip stuff and cartilage still forming ya know.

Cleaning day. Everything came out and got cleaned top to bottom. Then the knives came out. After that the boots were shined. Ammo inspected, mag springs tested and bolt faces cleared of powder rings.

Thanks Ops, i was worried about that little guy. He's ok. MadPick wrote: I got a nice long box from the UPS guy . . . so I unwrapped it and leaned it up against the tree. Merry Christmas to me! It's a .58-caliber Zouave reproduction, in very nice shape. After that, I did some studying using the Swedish care package that usrifle left on my doorstep yesterday: I've got a lot to learn.... That Helmet was made for you.

I know a lot of folks who'd love to take their gun to work 'to try it out' I think 'going framer' has a different connotation than 'going postal' When I had coworkers we occasionally shot clay pigeons off the second floor before building the roof. I've got at least 10 hours work for ya. And you get to play with all my toys.
