I was looking at them yesterday... my thought was that they are really nice for the price --- if you have a need for them.... I couldn't come up with a need. BTW - I went to pick up this.... https://www.harborfreight.com/4-12-in-m ... 61178.htmlPretty good deal - I was down to one cutoff wheel and my flap sander is looking pretty ratty... get a good price on 3 flap wheels and get 5 free cutoff and 2 grinding wheels.

This is like putting a Hyundai Accent next to an Audi A4 and saying "Hyundai beats Audi" because: - Both have engines
- Both have transmissions
- Both have gas tanks
- Both have steering wheels
- Both have tires
...but the Accent is cheaper! Just because they have the same physical features doesn't mean the quality of materials or construction is the same. That being said, for that price I'll probably try one out.

Im not to hip on most of HF products, but I never could figure out how Pelican can justify the HUGE prices for heavy duty tupperware.
Seriously, they want HUGE dough for a plastic box! Is it just because they have no competition? It cant take more than $7 to produce that product.

But by buying a pelican, you can be a 'pelican snob'.... I've known several.

I have a small handful of Pelican cases, and yes they are pricey, but they are near indestructible. I had a latch break on one, and I had replacement parts the next day. For Free.

HF should just be called "Chinese Shit-Mart". Nothing is quality or even close. Unless it's a one time only use & then throw away(think wire brush for solvent scrubbing)
Good aint cheap & cheap aint good

Buy once cry once.
With quality tools you pay one time up front. With cheap shit you pay every time you use it.
I rarely buy things from Hazard Fraught tools.

Personal weapons are what raised mankind out of the mud, and the rifle is the queen of personal weapons. The possession of a good rifle, as well as the skill to use it well, truly makes a man the monarch of all he surveys. It realizes the ancient dream of the Jovian thunderbolt, and as such it is the embodiment of personal power. For this reason it exercises a curious influence over the minds of most men, and in its best examples it constitutes an object of affection unmatched by any other inanimate object.

Don't hate the freight, they have an awesome warranty, especially if you break tools as much as my work crew does.

How can you go wrong when imitating a plastic container. They are NOT like cars. I'll dump a few bucks for an HF knockoff of a Pelican product. I've fondled them and really can't point out any features that would be inferior to a Pelican box.
