"produce high quality copies of the TEC-9 / DC-10 submachine gun"

So they actually work?

With the proper tools anything can be made for good or for evil. Eh? I think this brings a new meaning to the word "Hoser"

So are these fully semi-automatic or what?

Wonder if they fire from an open bolt.

A Brit PM was assassinated in 2017 by a man using a homemade pistol.

Shows gun laws literally do nothing to stop dedicated criminals.

But the government feels good at disarming the people to control them. Lots of people in jail for mere possession. Lives ruined exercising fundamental human rights of self defense.

Making guns illegal makes "the people" choose between breaking the law or keeping a gun for defense and then dealing with the legal consequences.

"Lots of people" in the USA, UK, Canada, and other nations have surely chosen to remain arm in violation of the laws, and been prosecuted for it. It's a terrible choice to have to make, is the point I was making.

On a somewhat related scale, I know several Soldiers who rolled onto Army bases with a carry gun in the car (where it's illegal to do so, without getting pre-approval and having it dis-assembled in the trunk basically), who were caught and prosecuted or had their careers ruined over it.

That was a sophisticated operation he had going there. Those guys hopefully made a boatload of cash doing that when you factor in cost of the machinery(not cheap) the cost in labor, Canadian machinists make more than us but it’s in Canadian so it’s a wash but factor in 24 and up an hour for labor, and raw materials. He would have to crank out a few hundred of guns at least to break even unless he was charging thousands for a tec 9.

I would bet they had other work too. This wouldn’t be the only source of income.

The owners probably told the staff that they were really into paintball and wanted to make some random parts. Most parts look like random bits of whatever and hourly workers don’t care what they’re making, as long as their getting paid.

If they are making tons of parts it’s easier to lose things like this in the mix too.
