I've got an extra lower knocking around, and I'm thinking about making it into a pistol. PSA has three different pistol kits on sale right now, but I have no idea what I'm looking for.

It seems to come down to barrel length. They have three different lengths, 7", 8.5", & 10.5". The 10.5" has a standard M4/16 front sight, and I don't think I want that, I'm thinking the flat topped ones are more to my taste...maybe. There's also a 300 AAC 6" kit, but I'm not sure I want to add another caliber.

I'm sure some of you guys own one or two of these, what do you like, what do you hate, what recommendations do you make?

Thanks!

So you're down to 7" or 8.5"?

The nice thing about the pistols are:

- Small and light
- Noisy and flashy as hell, real attention-getters.

So why not maximize both of those and go with 7"?

Quick and dirty.
10.5" - LOUD
8.5" - FUCKING LOUD
7" - Makes listening to one of Hillary's rants sound smoothing.

I’m holding out, they keep getting cheaper. If it was me I would wait for one with the sba3 brace. Or buy the sba3 with lower parts kit for 150 and then what ever upper you like. The kak and sob are nice but I like the sba3 the best so far.

Well, that KAK 2.0 brace on the 8.5" kit is pretty nice . . . and it has a better pistol grip that won't require immediate replacement.

Fuck it. Ordered.
