I mostly expected this to be a thread by Zombie.

Gotta question the motives of some guy wanting to know if your wife carries... :wink05: :ROFLMAO:

The population in general for firearm owners that carry is rather small.

Even among our own group of firearm enthusiasts would be moderate to low.

Women are comprising an increase in firearm ownership but are still a small number among all those that carry.

My wife is anti gun. She can shoot but chooses not to.

Now this discussion is quite funny how it has evolved from a simple question to a discussion on how and what she should carry.

I have taught and done a few women’s only courses in my years and one thing we men have to take out of the equation is men.

We think differently, we dress differently and we have just different tastes.

A man should never limit how a woman carries.

Purses or off body is typically a male viewpoint. Although I have carried ina briefcase from time to time and packs etc.

More though as to design of purse and situational awareness - like hanging purses on the back of the chair or leaving it on the ground. The design aspect can be handles that are cut resistant etc.

Body carry is preferred but is not the only solution for all (male or female).

Choices on firearm and caliber is an individual choice.

We all have different budgets, size hands and needs. So why is that different for a woman? Just because you like a gun doesn’t mean your other half will like it and decide to carry it.

Just look at yourself... how long did it take you to carry?
Why did you settle on the gun you carry now?

We are all on this journey. Some are new and some are more experienced. We should all be welcoming as we all evolve or not.

I just meant trying to tell a woman what to wear doesn't usually go well

If your wife cant rack a slide, then you got a wussy wife.

WRONG.

I have taught a couple of ladies--and some men as well--who have injuries that prevent them from gripping objects with normal strength.

It's not that they don't WANT to---it's that they physically CAN'T.

Wetpaperbag: :timeout: I am sorry sir, but this by far is the most redundant and ridiculous thread on this entire forum.

DOES YOUR WIFE CARRY?

OF COURSE!!! For most of these so called MEN on this Firearms Forum, their wives carry their balls and nut sack right in their handbags everyday of the week.

You can bet that is a real statement right there. :ROFLMAO:

My Wife packs two big guns everyday....but never a Firearm. I keep trying to convince her she needs the Firearm to protect the Guns.
No dice yet.

Wife carries a S&W Mod 36 Chief's Special 2" snubby in a tactical purse, when she's not going to work.

And when she's going to work, she carries a .50bmg? :wink05: :ROFLMAO:

try the shield, mine likes her's.

Just bought mine a shield on Monday. She loves it. She's been walking around the house practicing racking the slide. She's used to a .38spl revolver, but she wanted something with a few more rounds. Go to the gun store and let her hold a few of them.

Mine too. She just doesn't like guns. She doesn't care that I do, but wants nothing to do with them herself.

Walther CCP, and the new EZ Shield are easier to rack. Also there are techniques I'v'e taught to people that make it easier. Also the gun only needs to be racked once before you leave the house. If my wife couldn't rack it, I would do it for her before she left the house.
