My wife has expressed displeasure in her IWB Alien Gear holster for her S&W Shield. Limits what she can wear, pants-wise.

She mentioned belly band holsters. I'd love some feedback from fellow WaGunners, either first or secondhand. First priority is that it works with the Shield, though she also has a full size 1911 and it would be wonderful if that was another option. Obviously something pretty sturdy and secure for a 40oz all-steel gun.

I haven't tried anything from Can Can yet (https://www.cancanconcealment.com/) but they might be worth a look. Front and back options that don't rely on clothing for support.

ETA: I have the UnderTech concealment shorts (https://www.undertechundercover.com/collections/womens-shorts) and like them. Traditional holsters are my preference for everyday carry so the UnderTechs are mostly paired with around-the-house pants that have a stretchy waistband (yoga-style or jammies, or sometimes cycling shorts). I've worn them under dress slacks a couple of times and they worked well. Smaller guns are the best option but a full-size pistol also fits. That steel frame might prove too heavy, though.

Those look pretty awesome (Can Can) and far better than the $20 ones I found on Amazon that look like something from Uncle Mike's.

I forgot, there's also the Dene Adams line of holsters (https://deneadams.com/collections/corset-holsters). No personal experience with them but I've seen good reviews on their products. I think GG tried one a while back, you might try searching to see if she posted her thoughts.

The YL tried one, didn't like it. Something about to much bulk even though her tops are normally blousing.

I know a woman that loves Dene Adams products, but they are pricey.

Their demonstration videos are impressive.

Also, for her, the small was too small and the medium was much different. It may not have been available then but, they are now. They have Petite size that is supposed to be one inch shorter and she's got a short torso. So the gun was jamming her sensitive areas.

I ordered one of these Can Can Hip Holsters, same color scheme:

Made for the Shield, probably too small for the 1911. Maybe this means I need to buy a smaller 1911 for her :thumbsup2:

I have a Crossbreed modular belly band and I really like it a lot. You can order the holster to fit any firearm and you can have multiple holsters for the different guns that you may want to carry. I have one Crossbreed belly band but I have a holster for my Glock 43 and another holster for my CZ 2075 RAMI that both attach to it. The possibilities are endless. Also ordered mag carriers fo each that also attach to the belly band.

I use one of these too. I use a Shield or a LCP II with it. It works great for me.

Somehow the idea of carrying something that has the capability to blow chunks out of your body right next to the family jewels does not appeal to me.

I know, the chance of a round going off by itself is one in a Bazillion but it only takes ONE to ruin your fun and the round in my crotch carry might just be the one.

Wife already loves her Can Can. She's a tight jeans/loose sweatshirt kind of gal so it's perfect.

It can hold 4 guns...might make me get one for myself! :ROFLMAO:
