I would recommend a Browning Buckmark.
Mine shoots better and has a nicer trigger than any Ruger I’ve shot (I’m sure money can fix that).
I’m always amazed at how long this thing will chug along without cleaning.

The Ruger is a solid choice but NOT easy to break down/reassemble. I have several of the GSG .22 rifles and all of them have run 100% so the quality is there

I bought a Ruger Mark IV 22/45 to be an eventual suppressor host

The Mark IV is much easier to take down and clean. Push a button and the upper separates from the lower

Jealous! That's probably my next step. I bought a 22/45 Lite (the old gold upper) back in the day for $300 on a SGN parking lot deal. Told the wife it was for her so she wouldn't complain about the expenditure. Now I'm stuck with it because "it's hers." Sigh. Maybe I need a Mark IV now so we can have his and hers?
