I would recommend a Browning Buckmark.
Mine shoots better and has a nicer trigger than any Ruger I’ve shot (I’m sure money can fix that). I’m always amazed at how long this thing will chug along without cleaning. |

The Ruger is a solid choice but NOT easy to break down/reassemble.
