Bit late to the party, but I clean my Octane 9 baffles (which are ss) in an ultrasonic cleaner with a diluted simple green or purple power solution. Run it for 60 min (2 x 30min). Also throw the piston and spring in there too.

Update: 1/28/2021 ~ My POS ebay ultrasonic cleaner died. It smelled awful like it was on fire but wasn't. RIP.

Well, I'm clearly going to need to go back and re-read this thread.

I picked up my Silencerco Omega suppressor today, with the intent to take it to the range tomorrow. Something looked really weird inside the mount, like metal was broken . . . wtf. I was chatting with BadKarma and he said, "are you sure it's not just carbon buildup?". Silly BK. :ROFLMAO:

Well, fuck me sideways, but he was right!

I had a hell of a time getting the suppressor apart, but finally succeeded. Results in the video below.

Now I need to figure out how the hell to clean this . . . .

This has maybe 5,000 rounds of .223 through it. The prairie dogs don't seem to mind the carbon buildup, but it's not okay with me.

I've really thought about dropping a bunch of SS pins in my welded rifle suppressor with some soap and lemishine then giving it a whirl on the tumbler

Need to find some rubber caps that will seal the ends to make it work

Immerse it in Montana extreme copper remover and let it soak. Don ppe prior. Give it an hour. Come back and scrub it.

I wouldn't do that if i were you...The likelihood of shaking all those pins out is low.You have a couple left in there and fire a round and you have problems if the pressure kicks the pin into the bullet path.
I'd soak it in whatever flavor of solvent you like and repeat as necessary.
