OK I have 7.62, and .22 suppressors. I would like to get one last one in the 9mm/handgun version. Would like low price basic can. Any suggestions?

Get a 45 can.

^^^^ Amen. Don't waste your money on a dedicated 9mm can. Get the 45-cal and switch to to a 9mm end cap if you must. Take your pick because all are going to be around $600-700.

YHM R9 is often recommended.

And I disagree that you necessarily need to get a 45 cal can; if you're not planning to suppress 45, a 9mm can is fine.

You can always get a .45 can later.

Why not give a call to Capital Armory or Silencer Shop for advice and recommendations:
https://www.capitolarmory.com/
https://www.silencershop.com/

They both have storefront operations in addition to their Form 3 dealer to dealer business and warehouse operations.

These guys handle more silencers every year than any of us can ever shake a stick at. They'll have a good idea what the best performing suppressors are, best sellers, and can help you figure out maintenance vs weight/balance and those kind of things.

There’s plenty of reason to get a 9mm can as I pointed out in a different thread.

Chuck, what do you want in a can?

And then theres always the guys who gave up entirely on 45 and settled on 9mm and bought a lifetime worth of ammo have no intention of ever going back to 45acp....

Unless someone gives me a 45acp suppressor ready pistol and 10k rounds of ammo, I dont see any point in buying a 45 acp suppressor personally.

I bought a discontinued AAC 9mm can from Silencershop on closeout a few years ago for $300+ tax ( Evo9 IIRC). Its okay, dont use it nearly as much as I had envisioned. If I ever build another suppressor it'll be a Form1 oversized dedicated 9mm for a AR9. I shoot the AR9s a lot more than I do suppressed Glock/M&P pistols

I am on the email list for a YHM R9 for this reason. I have a Scorpion I want to suppress. That's really it. I also have some threaded USP40's, and I'll have to get a 45 can for those, but that'll be another can entirely. I don't like reassembling boosters and whatnot. My rifle cans are all QD compatible with Dead Air muzzle devices so I don't have to switch parts around. So since the R9 is cheap, tough, and comes with a 1/2-28 direct thread mount instead of a booster/piston assembly, that's the can for me.

OP, I would consider the R9. YHM has a habit of making cans that punch above their weight class. The direct thread adapter can be removed and a booster assembly can be mounted.
The pistol can I am looking into, the one I will use on actual pistols rather than my Scorpion, is the Osprey 45K. Yes, it's partly because it looks cool. It's also short and lightweight, and can be used on any future threaded handguns I will ever come across.

R9 is the best bang for your money. Plenty of different mounting options.
