I can't stand it, There are several fellows over on "The High Road" board, extolling the virtues of using Quicken Willmaker for a Gun Trust. Lord, I tried to show them the Way, yet they accuse me of being a shill for the man! Now that's funny stuff right there!..... I need a Beer

What did you do? Offend the Mod by using a "four-lettered" word?

Seems like they take themselves too seriously there and the board is dominated by a couple of "all knowing" old-timers.

So will you show us the way? What's wrong with Quicken Willmaker?

Probably nothing if you have some basic knowledge of trusts to begin with.

The problem with a do-it-yourself trust is any flaw in your document and the ATF and/or State considers it invalid. It may not be as big a deal when trying to figure out how to avoid Estate Taxes when you die but a "Gun Trust" error could cost you not only your firearm or device, but also give you some time to meditate in jail. If that were to happen an attorney prepared trust would look cheap.

So to obtain your suppressor. Nothing. Really. A quicken trust will get you what you want.

I liken this topic to talking to a 20 year old about saving for their retirement. At 20 most don't have too much vested. Don't have a house or lots to lose in life. Maybe a car. Now speed up to age 50 and you have lots of to lose. A house, family, lots of toys... a whole life and lots of people (kids, family/kids, parents and friends counting on you). Lots to lose...

If you want to make it quick and don't think about the future then get a quicken trust... If you have anything worth while in life you want to protect then do it right the first time and get one done by http://nwgunlawgroup.com/

I cannot afford to lose anything in life that I have worked so hard for over $100 or even $500... I have a professional day job and all the toys I can ever want or need. I live a good life and don't want to lose all that over something so stupid as what I would pay over some "nice" dinner. It may be a lot to most but if you boil down to saving yourself future headaches alone... it makes sense.

I again will say you can certainly get the cheap $40 quicken trust or even a free one off the internet... but is what your whole life of work worth it? I just don't mean what you have now but what you will hopefully gain in the next 10-30 years or more?

Also please save for your retirement. :D
