Ballistic Advantage will be offering 6.5Grendel barrels in 12.5" in the next 4 months. If I was going to build another SBR I'd be looking at those.

My vote is 6.8SPC SBR. Lots more ammo availability - more brass, and it just seems like round that would be better suited to SBR than the other 6.X burners.

Maxim Defense compact PDW stock with JP Silent Capture Spring and Superlative Arms Adjustable Bleed-off Gas Block. I just watched some YouTube videos on both products . . . very interesting. I'll keep those in mind, thank you. Haha . . . that's cool. But I don't think it would work with this lower, since the OAL of a 7.5 Swiss cartridge is even longer than a .308 cartridge, so I think an AR-10 would be needed. Pablo wrote: usrifle wrote: 10mm.... If he can make it work with that lower, that would be near a first. But 10mm BLOWBACK could be doable. See me for 10mm DI tips. Yeah . . . as far as I know, there aren't any magwell inserts or anything for 10mm. Am I wrong? OhShoot! wrote: 7.62x39 for the fun factor. Got that one covered.^ That was using an SBR lower that I already have (that's officially another caliber), but actually I have another lower awaiting tax stamp that will be dedicated to the 7.62x39.

Probably too basic for what you have in mind, but this is mine. (I really just wanted to show it off again)

Oly style upper with a slightly modified sten mag and sten mag adapter block. No clue how reliable the mags are but that was how Oly used to offer them.

The new ones are custom Oly mags. At least they are blowback.

6.8spc. Then run the 90gr Gold Dot or the 85gr TSX. There's a video of a guy on Youtube that did some comparison testing in shortbarrels and if IRC, the Gold Dot averaged 2559fps. https://youtu.be/7kQ4N-fybeUSkip to 5:35
