Is a direct thread end cap needed if you already have a piston end cap with the same threading?
Basically am I risking my can by running a fixed barrel on a piston end cap?
I'd like to be able to switch from my M&P to my scorpion without messing with the endcap.

You'll need to install a spacer in place of the spring or the can will beat itself on a fixed barrel. Either way you'll have to unscrew things.

Same deal with my G17 and AR-9. I wish it wasn't so, but it is. Best to just get a second can.
