I was wondering the same thing. Perhaps she’s a LEO and it’s just muscle memory?

thanks! It was fun :) I had to dry-run this stage on the Segway like 8 times before I felt confident enough to do it.

Haha, same reaction here . . . looked like you were gonna get popped if you screwed up! :ROFLMAO:

That's pretty cool, though. Was it your first time on a Segway, Loke? I've never done it, but you didn't seem to have any trouble!

I had the Segway Ninebot S for a few weeks now, been riding it all over my housing area and on the range. Decided to give it try shooting a stage. I did have to dry-run the stage like 8 times to get comfortable before I actually did it. Not for the fainthearted for sure.

The Segway is fun though, I use it to go from stage to stage while carrying my backpack. I have two other friends who use them on the range too, one is AlphaCharis on Youtube who rides it while drinking coffee and tugging her range cart along. pretty pro.

Ahhhhh. I figured that the Segway was part of the stage setup, and everyone had to do it!

He has to run after the shooter and the holster might not have a LOT of retention and that's a CZ Shadow 2, heavy gun, a lot of momentum. If it ends up out of his holster, he'd have to DQ himself. Some people have a little bungie cord, he just uses his hand while ROing.

My match video for the same, you'll see he's got his hand on it a lot of the time but not always (like on a stage that doesn't have that much movement). The first stage has a big burst of speed from left to right, you can see that it's totally possible for him to launch his gun out of his holster with those kinds of bursts of speed.

Nice shooting, Eric.

And ... if there is THAT much risk of your pistol popping loose from the holster, you need a better holster.

Well, no holster in USPSA is adjusted with... good retention. It's all about speed. Many have external thumb screws so you can adjust it before and after stages. I just think that for a shadow 2, you really need to crank it and it's inconsistent. He should really just get a bungie cord.
