My son goes out to qualify for his Rifle Merit Badge. Aces the written exam then does his 5 target / 5 shot shoot. He comes back while the other kids are still shooting and I think something is wrong. He hands me his blue card and his targets. All 5 shots on each target can be covered by a quarter. I now owe him a tricked out 10/22 since he completed the qualification using only 7 targets (the deal was 10 or less).

I know some will look upon the shots not in the X ring... but those are TIGHT groups. Not using his own gun... so that's just means once he gets his own gun... he can "zero" it in... in no time.

Nice and consistent shooting! :YMAPPLAUSE:

Not me. Those are very nice groups. Those targets illustrate the difference between accuracy and being repeatable. Accuracy can be corrected with sight adjustments; being repeatable is all in the shooter.

M1Gunr, give your son a pat on the back for me; that's some very nice shooting! :YMAPPLAUSE:
