I started with a bad draw, so my paper was a little slow, and my transitions between the two papers needed to be quicker, but I was really happy with my steel! Had fun on this one, and I was really excited once I saw the result lol

Oh shoot.... I forgot to cut the video before it shows that guy start to walk downrange before the "range is clear" command.
So... NO, people don't do that normally, but occasionally Newbies get super excited about taping targets, and start doing so right after the show clear, and YES, I made sure to glare at him as I was holstering.

NICE! See that's the thing about performance, when you actually do well in a stage, you will feel like you were slow. The best match performance comes when you have the most boring of all matches. The moment you want to have fun shooting, it unnaturally makes you rush which is a recipe for disaster.

Haha . . . that's what's important! :ROFLMAO:

Damn, those steel targets were falling like dominoes.....

Hehehehe.... Newbies :)

Haha thanks, it feels weird for them to still be falling after I'm done shooting lol

Yes! sometimes it feels "slow" but ends up being really good lol. There are other times, though, where I can tell it's actually S L O W, like horribly slow, and those are my worse stages. Yeah, I wanna rush too often lol But I was a little slow on the transition from paper to paper, I was too busy thinking about my grip.... I have a nasty habit of thinking. Gotta stop that.

Haha thanks! Ya, it was a lot of fun. We don't use props normally, so it was fun to do something different. There was another stage with a baby in a carrier, and I jokingly asked if I accidentally came to the IDPA match.

Last month at Marysville, got third Production. Did really well on the steel all day and getting a little better at entrance/exits. Totally failed on the long range prone with the tiny targets.... though, most people did lol

Man, you kicked that Texas Star's butt in the first stage! I'm always fascinated by those.

Ya, I love the star! After you shoot it, it's not so scary anymore :) I really was pleased with the first stage :)

Oregon State Championship

Last month shot Oregon State Championship and got 14th in Production, was 2nd B class and High Lady. Was a fun match and I think this was the strongest I've been at a major - paid attention to my stage planning, didn't make huge errors.... the first day went really well and shot a lot of alphas, but the second day after the first stage wasn't very good, wasn't calling my shots and shot more charlies than I wanted. Still have a lot to work on in my mental game!

Had a really fun squad and a really great time at this match that has been interesting, fun, and technical the past three years. The work put in to this match is appreciated and will keep coming back as long as they have it :)

Charis, what's with the malfunctions? i thought I was watching one of Loke's videos....

:peep:

Just harassing you . . . that was entertaining! I love watching the videos from farther afield, the non-Renton, non-Paul Bunyan, non-Marysville matches. thumbsup

Damn girl! You are a badass. Well done lady. :thumbsup2: I wish i could shoot a pistol that well and that fast.

My sole encounter with a Texas Star didn't look anywhere near that impressive. :facepalm2:

Hahaha!

So I have two things going on. The first was light strikes and that was because of my press. I didn't know about the locking nut thing for the bolt in the middle. So every four rotations, the thing that goes around the bolt kept tightening it and I would have to loosen it constantly.... I then started loosening it more than I should so I could load more rounds in between, but it caused the shell plate to lift a little bit and not seat primers as deeply as it needed..... so I got a few light strikes.

The other thing is that my slide is slamming forward on a case that hasn't cleared the ejection port.... so it jams, and causes the round behind it to jam. Huge mess. So, this week I put in a new ejector. I'm hoping that's the problem. I put in a new recoil spring and striker spring and it was still doing that.

Thanks! Ya, it's a lot of fun to travel to other ranges - I like the different flavors of matches :)

haha thanks! :) If you shoot it a few times it's not as bad. And start with the top one, it'll stay balanced. :) If you wanna joke around with newbies, you tell them to shoot one of the bottom ones first - then watch that thing spin outta control!

I remember the first time I had a Texas Star on a stage - it was before I was shooting USPSA - it was a par time stage, I threw one Hail Mary at it and then just left it. Funny to look back now at the days I couldn't shoot a star hehe
