Sorry for the delay in posting this video. I've had it completed for about a week and a half but for some reason never posted it. I'm pretty pleased with my performance at this match and I'll take 2nd place CCP (EX/Division) and High Military. Throughout the day my stages felt slow and as if I were committing too many small errors but then again, I was shooting right before Christian Sailer. lol :-) There were some unneeded extra shots, missed shots on steel and seconds lost due to needing to rack the slide but I will hash those out in this off-season. I know the shooting season isn't particularly over yet with Nationals, The Western, and other matches but I can't afford time/money wise to go this year so I'm done for now. So with this being the conclusion of my first year (back), I'm happy with winning CCP and High Military at the Snake River Regional as well as 2nd CCP and High Military at WA State.

Hopefully during this off-season, I can learn to add music and enhance the video production, clean up movement, HIT STEEL FIRST TIME and trust my shot. I've made some pretty big improvements in the past year, stay tuned for next year! Thanks for watching and see you at the range!

:thumbsup2: congrats

awesome work, looks like you almost lost your balance a few times on the plank walk.

toward the beginning what was that "reshoot"?

Thank you cmica! Yes, that plank looked much wider than it felt as I was focusing down my sights. lol But I managed a pretty decent score/time though I pulled my first shot and had to put an extra shot in T1 and then had a slow reload at the end of the stage before stepping on the platform.

The reshoot on stage 3 was because the "runner" came off the track. Which was lucky for me because I had run that stage so poorly that time. My reshoot, I trusted my shots a little more and shot a lot less rounds. I forgot to reload at the end of the reshoot (in between position changes) and ran the gun dry but the head was visible at the end so I simply waited and focused on two solid shots then.

There were a lot of little mistakes like that for me that will/did add up in time. Overall, 30 points over 13 stages isn't bad but I could've saved many seconds by cleaning up a bunch of little things. Eh well, this is why we practice and push ourselves! I'm excited for the future. thumbsup

thanks for clearing that up on the "reshoot"

it's always good to watch your videos and see the little things you can work on to improve yourself. I think someone on here a while ago said he watches his videos and notice that when running to the next stage the "line" board he'll use that as a stop instead of the ground to were you will tend to slide a little.

keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing more of your shooting videos.

I love watching the videos again because when I'm running the stage, everything is happening. That is not the time to be analyzing and breaking down things that have happened. I don't forget them (and will relive them when I watch it) but I can further dissect the stage when I watch it again. Draw to first shot, movement (stage planning), splits/transitions, etc. I wish I could compare my videos to those better than me. Not to put myself down or boost them up but to figure out where I'm losing time and what an example of better shooting looks like side by side to mine. That stuff motivates me. Always trying to improve!

I will definitely try to get out as much as possible and hopefully I'll see more familiar faces around!
