Thank you to all who came. Great turn out and only 1 spectator was injured during the event. Young did have to put on a Costco sized band aid but I didn't see blood so I'm not sure if he was injured or just his pride(I never heard of cleaning a gas tube but apparently it needs it more than every 500 rounds).

That was quite fun today, but that new mag loader for the 10/22 did something odd. Now all my Ruger mags are jammed pretty bad, but that's okay, I know how to get them going again.

Heck yeah, that was a lot of fun! We had good people there today.

Blocklife and Ms. Blocklife, it was good to finally meet you. thumbsup

Yep. Sad story.

When we arrived, there were three guys (non-WaGunners) already set up and shooting. All was cool, we set up next to them and started doing our own thing.

One young guy next to us was shooting a Romanian SKS, which I commented on since I also brought my Romanian SKS in the Shernic bullpup stock. I offered to let him try the bullpup, and he accepted; he provided his own mag and ammo, and I gave him the rifle.

I turned around to talk to someone else as he started firing, and then I looked back at him. He had kind of a sick look on his face, and he said, "Is this not meant for left-handers or something?' icon_eek

Yep . . . he had snuggled up to that rifle, left-handed, and fired. He only fired one round, and the empty stovepiped . . . because the bolt never made it all the way back. The bolt didn't make it all the way back because he stopped it with his front tooth. icon_eek :crybaby:

He went and checked out his tooth in the car mirror, and apparently it was cracked. His buddy finished off the mag in my SKS, and then those guys packed up and headed off to the dentist.

I felt like shit, and still do. I need to make double-sure I give folks a warning about shooting left-handed before I let them shoot that rifle . . . not everyone knows that bullpups and left-handers don't get along, obviously. I hope he's doing okay.

Oh . . . one more thing on that note.

Just as I arrived home, my little pea-brain suddenly flooded with images of picking up Yugo 7.62x39 brass during cleanup. I make an effort to always shoot non-corrosive ammo through that Shernic SKS, since it's kind of a pain in the butt to take apart and clean. The guy who shot it (and supplied his own ammo, remember?) put a mag of corrosive ammo through it, so I guess he got a little retribution after all.

So I'm off to clean a rifle....

[Picture removed...] :cussing:

Well, the cherry red line cooled down today but you can clear see a division on my leg.

blocklife,
Great shooting with you and the misses! Thanks for the popup or otherwise I think I would of been truly burnt and all the goodies in the cooler (gaterade and snacks). :thumbsup2:

Oh by the way if FMJ 911 ever offers you his brownies... I will say they were very yummy. thumbsup

Thanks everyone! Great day... granted I took a mental Xanax and all was good after that...

Oh here's the tannerite! :woohoo:

http://youtu.be/DxCDuKk7Pkg

We had brought out 4 1/2lb containers of tannerite. :whatthe: :AR15firing:
The first 30 seconds is us shooting the steel
FMJ 911 shoots the first tannerite with his Mosin at 0:39 seconds in
I blast the other two at 1:41 and 1:49 with MadPick's AR pistol
The last one slid down behind the paper target so let a few rounds into the target and got the last tannerite at the 2:00 mark.
