Anyone else going to Centralia for the next show?

CHANGE OF PLAN
Due to the implementation and complexity of Washington States unconstitutional and thus illegal laws regarding firearms transfers, we cannot continue free background checks at our Centralia and Spokane shows.

As of July 1, 2019 we will have Federally Licensed Dealers prepared to facilitate firearms transfers for those who wish to follow Washington States new laws.

Please pray that our constitutional protectors are successful in overturning these illegal and immoral laws.

Below is a copy and pasted version of the charges Osborne and Sons has provided for transfers at the next Centralia show.

GUN SHOW PRICING
July 1st, 2019
Handgun Transfers ~ $25.00

Shotgun & Long Gun Transfers (that do not meet WA SAR standards) ~ $25.00

'Other' Transfers ~ $20.00 (subject to change when WA finalizes their fee schedule)
Semi-Automatic Rifle Transfers (that meet the WA SAR standards) ~ $30.00

WA Tax (1639 Requirements & Paid to DOL) ~ $18.00 Paid ONLY on SAR Transfers

Thank you,
Wes knodel

So they are going to do a handgun and/or SAR transfer without the ability to do a same day delivery. This will be interesting for the Dealer doing the transfers. I hope they are good at keeping this shit straight.

No kidding... Should be interesting.
It almost feels like FFLs are becoming accessories to a crime by helping the state enforce illegal "laws".
Not meaning disrespect to the FFLs that are trying to make a living, but the state of WA is requiring them to infringe (further) on law-abiding citizens' Natural Rights, or God-given Rights.

We live in interesting times.

Gun shows in CA have been doing the same thing for decades. Pay for gun, wait and pick it up later.

Now for WA it is more complex.

But AFAIK they can still do bolt actions, single shots, revolvers OK, not evil "assault" weapons like semi auto tube fed Marlin 60s and 10-22s.

There will be no same day delivery on handguns of any type as of July 1st.

Bolt actions, single shots, lever guns, "others" and shotguns are not affected.

And if people are caught not following the law inside of the show will Wes be held liable in any way.
This could be interesting.

July 1st is the end of gun shows....IMO

I will continue to attend the Centralia gun show regularly...

WA is in some quicksand right now, but as a slightly pessimistic optimist, I cannot imagine that these obvious infringements will stand judicial scrutiny.

I feel the same way however it is hard to count on the right thing being done when we have the 9th Circuit seeing over it.

As an interesting sidenote, many North End dealers have ceased doing transfers until after the 1st of July.
Waiting to see how it plays out I would guess.

I must say, yes, I agree. Even though I've processed a few WA PTAs, it's always felt sickening each time...compromising principles/selling my soul for $20.
WA Gov = Pimp
WA FFL = Hoe

And we're all tricking on the block...the high class hoes are getting up to $100 for services. Then the pimp comes along and tells you, "Hoe, I'm raising prices because I'm sick of having you hoes. I'm hoeing y'all out of business. And to add to it, I'm taxing you hoes on that money. So every time you turn a trick, I'm getting $18, plus I'm getting 10.2%. So that $500 trick...I'm getting $69. So it's really 13.8% I'm taxing.

But...daddy.....
HOE! What did the five fingers say to the face? "SLAP!"

And just for that, I'm taxing you .471% on every trick....no matter how much you profited or loss on that trick. You turn a $500 trick, I'm getting another $2.36. I round up, HOE! 14.272% is what you better have for every trick.

Daddy....you know I mostly turn $20 tricks all day.
Well you still giving me .471% for each one, and if it's a referral, I'm still taking 10.2% from the John...You betta get my money!

Sideshow B.....

The rest of us.....

Talk to me about my principles when someone wants a $5,000 trick.

I sure hope the shows can survive this mess. I will still enjoy going to grab some ammo, find neat accessories & visit with friends. Maybe more collectable old stuff will start showing up. I've been rediscovering lever actions lately & having tons of fun with them. I'm sure they'll figure out a way to demonize them, too!

made the show. at open Saturday it seemed the same level of attendance. Filed in behind the same friendly faces at the exact same time. Certainly didn't try to buy anything that needed a transfer, but had a few deals on a few things I didn't bother to leave behind.
