I can (could) see this happening. Gun Show @ the wood shed, Dec. 2014 Background checks for purchases of guns required.

me: Hi, I'd like to buy your G17 there for $400. seller: Sure, I need to do a background check for the sale first. me: No you don't, I have a Washington State CPL showing that I've already had my background check. seller: Cool, here you go. Don't shoot your eye out.

Think I'm being funny here? That's the way it's done at the WAC shows unless you are buying from an FFL guy that requires the 4473.

I don't remember all the details but Sequim already set a precedence ( spelling?) when they blocked gun shows in city owned buildings. The Tacoma dome is expensive and while the extra space was nice it wasn't all needed, I'd like to see this show in the old K-mart building in Lacey.
I just looked it up and my memory sucks. Sequim didn't ban gun shows on city property they put some restrictions on them that pretty much shut it down. The big one is "no private sales". This went to the state supreme court and the city won. I hope I'm wrong but I really think any show in Tacoma is a lost cause.
