decided mid afternoon it would be a nice drive and go down and check it out. the nice drive piece came to fruition. thought the show was a total turd, and not one that feels satisfying to get out.

There were some good deals, just not on stuff I was looking for.

it is a good show to go hunting for stuff at. Lots of private sellers, very few FFL's.

Free background checks, even on private deals.

Seven bucks a head to get in, free parking.

Anyone can buy anything, no membership , no other fees added.

Make an offer and a lot of stuff sells for less than asking from some of the guys there.

Very few vendors there think their shit is gold plated, but there are a couple - that's just human nature.

But - one guy had Titegroup for $20 a pound, Accurate #2 for $22 a pound.

I saw 1000 rds 5.56 55 gr. fmj's for $80.

Also, 300 rds Sierra 308 190 gr projectiles for $60.00

An ex Army guy turned gunsmith had a table of incredible custom long range bolt guns all tricked out, chassis or ergonomic stocks, one in walnut, all calibers from 50, 338, 308, 30 06, 300 RUM, you name it, he had it on the table. His prices were incredibly good for the performance, craftsmanship, and configurations he was offering. His 30 06 rifle was a thing of beauty, but his chassis based rifles were incredible, and he does custom work. He is planning to be there every month.

I also saw a guy pick up an ivory grip British Bulldog pocket pistol in 455 Webley for a hundred bucks.

So, opportunity knocks if you are there to open the door.

.22 is always jacked up there, even the people we know. Powder can sometimes get a decent deal on, but rare. There are few gems at every show but disappear fast.

Anyone happen to know if they guys from Starlos Arms were there? I wanted to go and pickup one of their poly lowers, but other plans got in the way. Hopefully I can grab one next month if they're there.

So if you have a current CPL can you purchase a firearm?
Or are firearm purchases only reserved for members of WAC?

Starlos may or may not be there over the summer shows.
