There was a guy in the back room on Saturday morning who had some tremendous bargains. If it weren't for the 10 day wait on semis & handguns, I would have bought a few pieces just for the heck of it. Mint Remington 742 for $175? Dang! If only it was a pump, rather than a semi. Also had a straight stocked 336RC for $250. Definitely could have used a refinish, but otherwise looked like a useable truck gun. Nobody was giving away their lever actions, but I thought prices weren't too bad, considering what a new Remlin or Miroku/Winchester costs. Great to see more old guns showing up! Found some bargains on ammo, as usual.

Today was pretty busy.
Looking at next years show schedule there are only 5 at Puyallup vs 8 this year. Anyone know why?

WAC is only buying shows where is has a reasonable chance of making money and not supporting shows that lose money.

I thought they make a profit at every Puyallup show and break even in Monroe?

They raised the door charge to $15 for non-members. Less deals, more candles and knives and retail dealers.

Didn’t even update it on the website - which was annoying. I found a couple of sweet deals but there were a lot of dudes with overpriced crap.

It is a 170 mile round trip for me to go to the Puyallup show. My last visit to that show was back in May. With the changes in transfers, are all the FFLs down there doing transfers from the South End? Or are there any FFLs from north of Seattle or Snohomish County? I would not want to make that drive to Puyallup and then make another drive to Pierce County 10 days later to pick up my purchase. I realize it varies from show to show, but if anyone has any insight on which FFLs are typically there, please chime in.

I would guess that anyone you would be willing to drive to that would be at the Puyallup Show, would also be at that one. If you're looking for North End FFL's, that might be the ne to hit. Just a thought...

^^^I actually do go to the Monroe show, but there is typically a much larger number of vendors at Puyallup. So I go to Monroe usually three times per year and twice to Puyallup. In recent years, I have had better luck with Armslist private sales than the WAC shows.
