This is a Gewehr 88, dated 1890 and chambered in 8mm Mauser. Like the Gewehr 91 that I posted earlier, this has the "S" modification to increase the bore diameter. I haven't shot this one yet either, pending getting some light reloads done!

This rifle has a barrel shroud that threads on, so it looks a little more badass than it really is. :)

A typical run-of-the-mill m/38 short rifle. :D Seriously, that is a very clean Husky. I can't make out the date on the receiver; Do you know during what year was it made?

Well, if usrifle can post run-of-the-mill rifles, then so can I. jestera

Here's my Mosin Nagant M44 carbine, which was the first C&R rifle that I ever bought. The good news is that it got me interested in older guns . . . the bad news is that I had to meet nick425 in order to buy it! :))

This is a 1946 rifle from the Russian Izhevsk arsenal. I loooove these Mosin carbines; to me, they're a lot more fun to shoot than the full-length rifles!

Okay, I'm going to finish off my Mosins with my M38. This is definitely the most fun of my Mosins to shoot, because it's SHORT and LIGHT! Talk about a flash-bang! :D When Mosin goes to the range with me, it's usually this one.

This is a 1946 Izhevsk rifle in what I believe is an M44 stock, which is fairly common. (Right, guys? With the bayo cutout on the right side?)

I'm going to kick it off with a 1945 Mauser K98k in caliber 8mm Mauser. This rifle was apparently assembled in Czechoslovakia from Nazi components, and it includes the large "winter trigger guard" which sets it apart from most Mausers. On the downside, it has been sporterized by removing the upper handguard, cutting back the stock and installing aftermarket sights. :( It also has some pitting on the outside of the barrel.

The bore looks GREAT, but I haven't shot it yet.

Here's my Arisaka Type 99, in caliber 7.7 Japanese. This rifle is in pretty good condition, and even has the anti-aircraft sights intact . . . but again, somebody has messed with the wood and shortened the stick and handguard a bit. angryfire The mum (chrysanthemum) on the receiver has been scrubbed, which occurred during WWII when the rifles were surrendered because this was the symbol of the Japanese emperor.

I haven't fired this one either . . . my ammo is on backorder. :( UPDATE: Just a few hours after posting this, I got notification that my ammo has shipped! This baby's headed to the range soon! :-bd

I rectified both of these problems tonight!! snipersmilie

Okay, it was just a blasting trip to Wade's so I can't tell you that they shoot such-and-such MOA . . . but I can report that neither of them blew up in my face, and they both made me smile! :D

This is my only Bolt Action I have at this time.
It was also my first C&R purchase.

It's also the only pic I have of it right now.

Thank you.
It is in much better condition than I expected.

The bore is dark but it has well defined lands and grooves.
Shoots real straight when I have the bayonet attached!

I almost inadvertently started a bayonet charge last week at the Kenmore Range.
Range Master, " The range is cold. Attach bayonets and charge change your targets at the sound of the bell."

I like it!! Very nice. :)

And yes, you "scored" with the $100 deal . . . that's a great price!

And now the second of my two Enfields, this one a No. 4 Mk 1. This is dated 1942, chambered in .303 British, and is in generally very good condition.

Ah, the end of the road . . . until Friday. :)

Here is my Czech VZ-24, chambered in 8mm Mauser. This rifle is dated 1937. It's a plain-jane rifle but a good shooter. Unfortunately somebody did some polishing on the barrel, so it's nice and shiny down there.

This was the third rifle that I ever owned . . . thanks, foothills. thumbsup
