NotAMerc wrote: I like it! Just out of curiosity, why the KAK brace? Thanks. I've always liked the KAK brace. As much as I like the SB3, the flexible bottom section on the SB3 won't hold Cerakote great and neither will the velcro strap. Having the Trijicon MRO be all black drives me nuts as it is so having the bottom of an SB3 and the strap black would have pushed me over the edge. Thordsen Custom makes a cool brace also and I've used it on another build but I wanted something with a little more to it and a bottom spot for a sling mount. I might use an SB3 on my AR45 build as the main Cerakote color for that build will be black so I can get away with the flexible piece and the velcro strap being black on that one.

https://www.ar15.com/forums/ar-15/Retro-style-pistol-Blade-Brace-wasn-t-someone-here-working-on-these-/123-744656/Check this thread out, you might find this an interesting option. There’s a wait list, but I was pretty happy with his product. I’ll order a few more eventually

TA, you might be interested in the Splitfix. It is a replacement strap for the SBA3 that covers the split to make it not so flexible. It’s also longer so makes it easier to actually use as a brace if you want. And it comes in a bunch of different colors/patterns. I have one on my Banshee and it’s great. http://wisemencompany.com/sba3-splitfix/Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
