Anyone have firsthand experience with the PSAK-47 from Palmetto State Armory? Price isn’t bad and did pretty well on AK Operators Union 5,000 round test.

Mine has been rock solid so far, although I've only put about 200 rds through it. It seems to like the Magpul MOE mags better than the steel combloc surplus mags (in terms of getting them seated, that is), but they do both work. I found it to be very accurate right out of the box. My only complaint is that the cheek weld on the Magpul Zhukov stock is uncomfortable, but that can be fixed. I also wish the notch in the rear sight was a tad wider; it's quite narrow and makes focusing on the front sight a bit difficult. But I've shot other brands of AKs with that same issue, so it seems common. The PSAK-47 GF3 is a great value, so I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Surprised I never put pics of my Arsenal (disguised as a Century POS-47) up here. Need to find a lower profile optic though.

I have a Gen3. I've only put about 200rnd through it. I bought it to be a host gun for some classic wood, but it's still in the pretty plum from Magpul. My gripe is just that some aspects feel cheap. It may function and be fine, but, compared to my other AKs, they just have a cheep metal feel. The selector mainly. The finish feels a bit rattle can as well. But I got it for $599 shipped, so I'm happy. I need to get a front sight tool though, as it's shooting really low.

My WASR-10 that I bough in June 2019. I bought a Romanian surplus wood. I had to refinish to wood so used a varnish stripper. Started with 120 sandpaper and then used 220. Put MinWax pre-stain and put five coats of MinWax stain. I put six coats of MinWax wipe on poly. After each coat of wipe on poly I used 0000 steel wool before I put the next coat on.

I also bought a Romanian Bakelite pistol grip and am using a Polish AK sling.
