Well, I think I finished off my 45-70 needs. These are what I have wanted, and have their own purposes in my collection. Its no 7.62 Tok Glock, and we know Guntrader has 7 and has had 15 more, we've all seen those pics. We know, we know..... Just picked up the 1874 Sharps reproduction by Uberti. Fell into my lap. Thing is a work of art! Have had the Marlin 1895 for a while. Cant wait to get them out and shoot em.

Kyle, that's frickin' beautiful! It's heavy mofo though, isn't it?!
Don't share ammo between them . . . you should use trapdoor-type loads for the Sharps. I don't remember, are you a reloader? Yet?

The action on the Sharps is a falling block, super super strong. But dont really plan on really running overly hot loads in either. Have presses, just waiting on the space to do it all. Will work up a good friendly load for both is the plan.

Sweetness!
My bucket list also includes some additional 45-70 guns, I want a Winchester 1885 and a Ruger No.1 (already have a stainless Marlin 1895GS)

Since you're loading up that ammo anyhow . . . might as well get a Trapdoor too, eh?
