Russian 1941 matching numbers, no import stamp no added safety. Shoots good for not having much rifling left.

Well, I just spent a bunch of time updating my Photobucket links to Imgur throughout this thread.... :angryfire:

So let's add some new content . . . here are two cousins that I bought yesterday, both in .45 ACP and both made in 1918:

One is a Colt M1911, which has likely been re-arsenaled. The other is a Colt M1917, a U.S. Army revolver in .45 ACP.

The M1911 needs a mag, which I've ordered. The M1917 needs moon clips . . . also on order.

One thing is very clear: My gun photography skills have gone to shit the last couple of years. :frust:

Mind sharing what you paid for them? I'd love to have both of them. What years are they? The 1911 has the flat back strap which indicates WWI era.
