Ij ust redid a sks and used that Tru-oil stuff, it works very well and only cost like 5 bux for a bottle, on my last coat i scuffed it up again with 0000 steel wool while using their gun stock wax as i didnt want to mirror finish on a sks. it turned out very well

The thought has crossed my mind but I just don't think I could do it at a price which would seam anywhere near reasonable for a complete rework such as this.

Just curious... what kind of price would a fellow waguner be looking at for a simple conversion of a wood stock, nothing fancy, just modified to fit the takedown?

Would a big hole in the stock like that make my Papoose worth more? Or less? (See ad at http://www.waguns.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=39454) I've seen that done to Marlins before, so I know it works with them, too. Mine, as is:

Since it's bumped, might as well see all the original pics. In some of those it almost looks organic!
