So this spring I will be dedicating a larger area in my house towards the hobby and would like to see some bench setups to maybe get some ideas. I saw that someone posted some pics of their reloading bench in another thread and thought it might be interesting to see some more setups for those who would like to share or even just to show off! ^:)^

Here's my reloading setup, I had just finished putting the cabinets up (free on Craigslist) and mounting my press. I've yet to get everything in its place but it is a good start.

That definitely looks like a great start for a nice setup! I've was originally thinking of setting up something in the garage, but I've been noticing a lot of people set up their reloading benches near a window of some sort. Hmmm.... natural light is good; I may need to change locations....

Please keep post photos of your work areas o we can all have good Idea's on the set up's!

I have created something really simple. I have an area in my garage that was converted into a average sized bedroom by the previous owners that is now my Office (man cave). I dedicated one corner for reloading. Was tired of reloading in a cold garage. As you can see from this poor quality pic(iphone) it is setup rather nicely. The bench top is roughly 5' long and made out of an old countertop and reinforced where the press is mounted. Below, I have a small shelf to hold the rifle cases and or misc supplies. I disassembled an old dresser from my daughters room, cut it up and made the shelves. Purchase some organizer bins for brass and mounted the powder thrower above the counter in the center for ease of use as well as keeping it out of the way. Below the counter on the floor is my compound bow case. (Note) counter top was mounted higher then others I have seen and or used. This works much better in my opinion.

I started setting up my reloading equipment in the garage, but certain, ah, life changes resulted in me leaving the house and going to an apartment, and so this is what I have:

And yes, it is VERY nice to be able to reload year-round in comfort. Even if/when I move back to a house, I'm going to keep my reloading setup indoors.

See that Hornady LNL press box on my shelf? See how it doesn't quite close? That's because there's a tumbler, strainer and large bowl inside!

Yes, I use a Cabelas tumbler and I've been very happy with it. You CAN clean brass other ways (I haven't bothered trying), but everything I've read indicates that you have two choices:

1) Buy a tumbler now.
2) Hurt yourself for a while, and buy a tumbler later.

Guess which I would recommend? :D

I bought a Cabelas tumbler that came with a few things: A bag of corncob media, a bottle of brass polish, and a slotted strainer that helps separate the brass from the media. The corncob that came with the tumbler lasted me for at least a year of fairly intensive reloading.

Also, make sure that whatever media you get is fairly small. If it's too big, it can be a major pain in the rear to shake out of the rifle cases. I've only bought Lizard Litter once and it worked just fine . . . I'm not sure if there are other grades out there or not.
