This started as a Davidson Defense rifle build kit that I saw on Slickguns. Turned out pretty decent for my first full build. Govt. profile barrel and standard LPK for now but it's light and tight. I really like the buttstock. Not the best looking but it's very tight to the buffer tube has a rubberized cheek rest and enhanced buttpad. Also qd sockets and slots for sling mounting. Build list and prices: Davidson Defense AR-15 build kit w/o BCG & lower - $189.95 shipped Aero Precision lower from Rehv Arms @ WAC - $50 PSA BCG with free shipping on Slickguns - $60 Magpul MOE 2 grip at the WAC show - $15 Ruger BUIS set found on Armslist new - $40 Magpul RVG that was sitting in a parts drawer - $0 Total investment of $354.95

Nicely done! We've come a long ways from the post-Sandy Hook days. And . . . thread moved to Gun Pics.

I’m a little bummed I missed this deal. Almost did it but backed out. Went back and they were gone.

How did the Geiselle Reaction Rod work out?

But it's only a gun "pic" I thought it had to be plural to meet the standards for the gun "pics" section...? mcyclonegt wrote: I’m a little bummed I missed this deal. Almost did it but backed out. I ordered one....they charged me at the time of order and a week later it's still waiting for "fullfillment" and not in stock. Don't sell shit you don't have fuckers. I will be cancelling the order. Looks great though Mike, nice job buddy.

It was a lot of torque to be putting on the upper when tightening an retightening the barrel trying to get the right alignment for the handguard. Very glad I wasn't putting all that strain on the upper.

Dafuq? Use their contact form on the website to ask them what's up. They forgot to include my upper parts kit with the initial shipment so I raised hell. They emailed back within about 20 minutes (on a Sunday) and I received the missing parts 4 days later. They seem to be pretty responsive. Worth a shot at least.

Nice build on a budget Mike, I'm impressed! It looks fantastic! Anyone would be very happy to say they owned that.
Love my Geissele Reaction Rod too. As an amateur AR builder, easily one of my best purchases ever.

Love my Geissele Reaction Rod too. As an amateur AR builder, easily one of my best purchases ever. Thanks bud! I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out considering it was soooooo cheap. My question is about AR tools. My armorer's wrench skipped off the lock nut on the buffer tube and marred it pretty bad. Are the more expensive armorer's wrenches a better fit? Pretty sure mine is just an NCstar cheapo.

Chi-Com.gong It's kind of like their food: buy one of their tools and an hour later you'll need to buy another one to replace it. Put America back to work, Mike. Buy American!
