Serbu Firearms hooked me up with a RN-50 for T&E for a few months. Time to beat the hell out of it! Regardless of the number of times I see this, it still makes me giggle.

Let's see . . . a bare-bones, lightweight, single-shot .50 BMG. You're not going to be giggling for long.

A'ight, I just watched a video and learned a little more about it.
Wow . . . definitely bare-bones, it's about as simple as you could make it.
Any concerns about ejecting the empties? Do you just hook the rim with another rim and pull them out, and do they ever get stuck?

Is there something to prevent AD in case your thumb slips off the hammer while cocking?

Before closing the top, you should set the hammer and then put it on safe. That's what I was thinking too but in the video I watched the guys shooting cocked the hammer after the breech was loaded and lowered. Didn't know if the hammer could be cocked before the barrel gets lowered into firing position.

It is a bare as bones rifle, that technically doesn't even come with a stock when ordering it. American Eagle Brass seems to get stuck on the regular, I pry out the old brass with a leatherman. Hook the needlenose under the rim, and leaver against the rim and the breach face. sinus211 wrote: Is there something to prevent AD in case your thumb slips off the hammer while cocking? Either cocking before, or using the entire web of your hand to pull it back so it has little chance of slipping. ---- Someone also asked why I picked the Nikon X1000 6-24x50 for my scope. Honestly, it is simply because it was mounted on an AR-15 that I could pull it off of, and that its got the new Nikon "whatever happens" warranty. I was looking for a decent amount of magnification, MilRad, and able to survive recoil. The Nikon fit the bill for now.

My .50 is pretty ugly. But that's worse. Probably cost a little less though.
