I`ve read a lot of whining, bitching and moaning around that the AK market in the US is dead, that ARs are stagnant, and that we`re losing the few imports we have.


And then I got this for $390 shipped to Dreadi`s shop. :rofl9:

It`s a Hungarian AMD65 with a 16" barrel. I`m planning on having it chopped, pinned and welded to the proper 14.5" length, but I can afford to really do anything I want with it, after all - it`s unfired! Zero burnt carbon on the bolt face, absolutely nothing on the piston, bore is immaculate. Not bad for $390 shipped. Not bad at all.

I will now accept congratulations. :wink05:

I`ve been on a hot run lately, except for the H&K I`m still waiting for from South Sound 911. I paid $100 more than I should`ve. :angryfire:

But yes, I`ve been doing well dealing.

It`s a FÉG receiver, it came from the classifieds on another forum. The out of state seller sent to our resident Dreadi.

I might make some, but when I have the ability to mod standard handguards to fit, I have no real reason to.

I removed the forward grip and modded a glock 20 +2 mag extension into a hand stop. Trying to rock 30rd mags past that forward grip is just maddening!

Looks cool, seems cheap to me but im not an AK nut (yet) so is this a good one, bad or hit or miss??

Pretty much any import (except the Polish "Pioneer" rifles) curbstomp domestic AKs like the VSKA, PSAK, and IO with ease. :wink05:

The AMDs like this one haven`t been imported for a few years, when they were they sold for around $550, they were a good competitor to the WASRs if a guy wanted something a little different. Now they`ve dried up (and I hear the FEG factory is closed down) so we won`t be seeing them again anytime soon.
