I’m looking for some cool ideas ? I really like the black aces tactical full length rails , and builds that incorporate them?

Just a thought. Have you seen the bullpup stock kits for Mossberg 500's and Rem 870's? Not everybodys' cup of tea, but I like mine.

I updated mine a few months ago. It had a three railed fore end on it and a wood stock. Also got rid of the side saddle and got a handful of shotgun cards from midway

Hello fellow southpaw

My project gun started life as a Remington 870 Wingmaster deer gun Left Hand action with 20" smoothbore barrel & rifle sights that I picked up at the old Cascade Arms in Olympia for about $300. The gun is like the following gun (though the one in the link is right handed):
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/794181867

Gradually overhauled it with following parts list:
XS Big Dot Sights for close quarters
Wilson Combat Extension Tube 2 shot
Mesa Tactical Magazine Clamp with Picatinny Rail
Elzetta single cell weapon light with rotary tailcap/momentary on-off
Hogue Fore-end
Mesa Tactical LEO Telescoping Hydraulic Recoil Stock Kit for Rem 870
Hogue Pistol Grip
Velcro on Receiver with Shotgun Cards

Eventually also got a CeraKote treatment for matte black finish as well which is a nice touch.

I'm up in Canada at the moment on family visit. Next week when I get back to Texas I'll plan to post some pictures.

I've run this gun through all the defensive shotgun courses at FAS and really enjoyed it. A good fitting stock is really nice on a 12ga to mitigate recoil. That Magpul stock on RocketScott's gun is supposed to be an excellent choice. I opted for a AR stock with hydraulic recoil buffer tube since I have both a long LOP at around 15-16" and also bony shoulders making me somewhat recoil sensitive when daily round count gets really high. I just run the stock at full extension to get the LOP I need so it works really well for my particular needs. I think the Magpul 870 stock can also be adjusted for LOP as well.

Haven't had much trigger time on it lately though still needing to pattern various buckshot loads. Planning to take a defensive shotgun course with Tom Givens this coming spring time to refresh the skill set a bit.

Mossberg 590 series is also a great alternative in pump action shotguns for a great price and they come pretty well kitted out already. Mossberg also offers tons of options for those of us lefties out there.

If you're thinking of a semi-auto, the Beretta 1301 Tactical is a great option though you need to fit it with a magazine extension after purchase. It's on my wish list for future buy.

I'm a lefty too, and this is one of the few right hand guns I use. Somehow this one doesn't bother me. I think i've learned to slightly rotate the gun on the eject stroke which keeps the shell out of my face. 00 buck loads tend to lift your head up and away from the stock too, also disracting you from the ejecting shell. It's actually easier to manually load a single round into the chamber too.

Been collecting shotguns for 35 years+
This is as good as it gets for a tactical shotgun.

HK Benelli M3 (can use as auto or pump, selector at front of stock)
HK Benelli M1 with an M2 foreskin (Yes, it matters)

Had M2's and M4's, favorite is the pre ban M1 pictured below at the bottom.
M4 is good if you want to add a bunch of accessories, Benelli inertia guns don't like extra weight. Have to tune the recoil spring and inertia spring.
But they require very little cleaning and are ultra reliable. My M1 has NEVER jammed, from Wally world target loads to 3" mags.
Can load a round by whacking the but on the floor.

One thing about inertia guns, avoid the 3" magnums. Your shoulder will thank you.

Edit: Both guns pictured are 7 +2 capacity

I’m loving it so far! Hopefully weather changes so I can get out and put some rounds through it soon!
